Our comprehensive approach to family support,
providing residential housing, life-skills training,
parenting training, and counseling services that
empower women to be socially, emotionally and
economically self-sufficient. We improve lives
and help to advance future generations through
a structured living environment and parental
development. Our services also include
educational support, training and therapeutic
services.
OBJECTIVES
Mary and Elizabeth’s House will aim to work
at transforming the lives of single women
and their families. The women we serve are
young mothers, single mothers, pregnant
women and those who have or are currently
experiencing trauma, family disruptions,
instability and a host of other challenges that
have substantially impacted their lives.
FOR STABILITY
Our structured residential program, educational supports, mental health counseling, and spiritual
guidance will help to stabilize women and their children who may be impacted by trauma, neglect, abuse
and the lack of extended family and community connections.
TO STRENGTHEN FAMILIES
Mary and Elizabeth’s House programs provide parenting and life-skills training,
individualized counseling and an early childhood development support program. Together
these vital programs support and strengthen the bond of a mother and her child.
TO IMPACT LIVES
The life outcomes for young women, especially pregnant or single mothers are often
bleak. Research shows they are less likely to continue on a solid path in life. Most don’t
graduate from high school, have difficulty finding employment and inevitably find
themselves homeless. We are committed to reversing the trends caused by youthful
indiscretions. We will also empower and strengthen young women.
